Active Ingredients

  • Olesta 20mg: each tablet contains Olmesartan Medoxomil 20mg
  • Olesta 40mg: each tablet contains Olmesartan Medoxomil 40mg

  • Co-Olesta 20mg: Olmesartan Medoxomil 20mg + Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg
  • Co-Olesta 40mg: Olmesartan Medoxomil 40mg + Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg

    Indications

    Hypertension. It may be used alone or in combination with other hypertensive agents.

    Contra-Indications

    In patients who are hypersensitive to any component of the product and during the second and third trimester of pregnancy.

    Drug Interactions

    No significant drug interactions were reported in studies.

    Warnings / Precautions

    When pregnancy is detected, Olesta should be discontinued as soon as possible. Caution to be exercised in patients with impaired renal functions.

    Dosage

    Olesta 20mg once daily. For patient requiring further reduction in blood pressure after 2 weeks of therapy, the dose of Olesta may be increased to 40mg. Doses above 40mg do not appear to have a greater effect. Twice daily dosing offers no advantage over the same total dose given once daily.

    Overdosage: The most likely manifestations of over dosage are expected to be hypotension and tachycardia.
