ISO 9001

Searle Pakistan Limited was awarded ISO 9001 certification in June 1999.

Customer satisfaction is the cornerstone of Searle's policy by ensuring quality as the hallmark of its products. The ongoing education and training programs for our personnel at all levels, ensure that each member is made extremely conscious of quality. The ISO 9001 Certificate is the documented proof of Searle's unwavering commitment to excellence.

Searle Pakistan Limited operates in the pharmaceutical and health care markets with the basic object of improving the quality of life of people. There is no other industry where quality of products is as crucial as it is in the case of the pharmaceutical industry.

The ISO Certification ensures the highest level of Quality Control processes applied consistently, so that the end product is guaranteed to be of the best possible quality.

Since its inception in Pakistan, Searle has provided high quality differentiated products to the people of Pakistan at the most cost-effective prices. This fact also happens to be the preface of our Corporate Mission Statement.

Since the commissioning of its new manufacturing facility, Searle Pakistan Limited is continuously investing immense resources, both human as well as financial, in obtaining new technologies and upgrading quality control and production equipment with the objective of having the best possible production facility in the country. Quality in fact is the basic ingredient of Searle's every product and this is ensured through stringent controls at every stage.

All steps undertaken during the production and quality assurance processes are accurately documented, clearly understood and religiously followed by each and every person involved in the processes at all stages. This is, indeed, the essence of ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems-Requirements). Searle has the ambition to be the best and fastest growing pharmaceutical company in Pakistan and because of that it has the responsibility and commitment that its quality of products should meet all national regulatory standards and customer requirements by adopting the ISO 9001 Certification standard processes.

To survive and thrive in the present competitive business world we need to effectively employ all resources and tools at our disposal. Undoubtedly one tool that will most consistently enable us to forge ahead in the pursuit of excellence and a hallmark of quality is the ISO 9001 certification and its implementation. ISO 9001 is not an end in itself. We realize that a quality system based on this standard is essential in achieving consistency, both in products quality and in the business process. It is only the first step in Searle's endless journey in pursuit of quality and excellence.

OHSAS 18001

Searle Pakistan Limited implemented the internationally recognized Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (i.e., OHSAS 18001:1999) at our manufacturing facility and Office premises.

OHSAS 18001 is an International Occupational Health and Safety Management System taken from a number of the world’s leading national standards and certification bodies. It was created to help organizations that are interested in eliminating or controlling Occupational Health and Safety risks to their employees and other interested parties during work-related activities.

Our vision is to gain recognition of Health and Safety as a corner stone in our society and achieve workplace Health and Safety.

We are committed to maintain and continuously improve Health and Safety of our employees and other interested parties working or visiting Searle Pakistan Limited by ensuring that significant risk to them from work-related activities is eliminated or properly controlled.

Our aim is to develop new ways in order to establish and maintain an effective Health and Safety culture at our workplace. Employees and other interested parties are fully involved in this process and significant risks are being managed properly, as we work towards a well designed and executed Health and Safety Management System.
